Brides’ new favorite: invisible braces

The number of bride candidates applying for plastic surgery before the wedding is increasing rapidly. The new trend in the midst of brides who are worried about dental aesthetics is the “invisible braces” treatment, which the Duchess of England Kate Middleton applied before the wedding!

Invisible braces, called the lingual orthodontic technique, are applied by sticking them behind the teeth, unlike the brackets we are used to seeing on the front of the teeth. Thus, no one except the patient can see the braces. One of the names who practice lingual orthodontic treatment in Turkey, Dr. Cem Caniklioğlu says that with this method, brides-to-be can smile freely on their wedding day without any problems and without spoiling their facial aesthetics.

After the patient’s jaw mold is taken, the period of getting used to the braces specially produced for the individual in the laboratory environment changes in the middle of 2 to 4 weeks. Therefore, brides-to-be should start treatment at least 1.5 months before the wedding date. Invisible braces, where the defect in the teeth can be observed to improve gradually, seems to be among the new favorites of brides-to-be who want to smile comfortably on the most special days of their lives.
