Do people want to change their bodies or their emotions with aesthetics?

Nose aesthetics is no longer required only as a tool to reflect yourself and your personality accurately, not just for visual concerns. Rhinoplasty makes the person feel stronger while giving self-confidence in the spiritual sense as well as the physical appearance.

The perception of beauty has always changed. Perceptions of pleasantness for the nose, which is located at the precious point of the face, have changed over time compared to men and women. At this point, rhinoplasty can be a savior and can bring you the nose you dream of. However, rhinoplasty is not done only for the perception of pleasantness. Rhinoplasty also plays a valuable role in damage caused by trauma or in diseases that will cause health problems.

What is rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty, or rhinoplasty, as it is commonly called, is a surgical procedure performed to reshape the nose. With the developing technology, the structure and mood disorders in the nose can be eliminated with many different and robust methods. The rhinoplasty process is recommended for two reasons. The first is to adapt the aesthetic appearance, and the second is to beautify the functional aspects.

Triggering causes

People prefer rhinoplasty for many different reasons. The operation can be grouped under three main headings according to the preference of the person;

Personal view: Aesthetic rushes can create mental problems such as lack of self-confidence and self-dissatisfaction in the individual. Conditions such as curvature, nasal arch, nose and nostril asymmetry, very large or very small nose can lead people to rhinoplasty.

Breathing problem: Functional and structural problems in people may require rhinoplasty. These types of disorders, which are often seen together with appearance issues, cause significant discomfort such as sleep apnea and snoring, as well as the basic breathing problem.

Impact and injury: An accident, a blow due to factors such as falling can cause damage to the nose. The deformities that are the subject of the word can have negative consequences not only physically but also mentally. For this reason, the person may turn to rhinoplasty.

The surgery is performed with two main techniques.

Closed Rhinoplasty technique: In this technique, no incision is made on the skin. The process is done with incisions made from the inside of the nostrils. When the process is completed, the incisions are closed with sutures.

Open Rhinoplasty technique: An incision is placed along the strip of skin in the middle of your nostrils. This incision is combined with incisions around your nostrils. Then the tip of the nose is carefully lifted and the necessary process is carried out.

Recovery time may vary

The recovery period firstly varies according to the type of aesthetics and the surgical technique to be applied. Therefore, it would be wrong to talk about a fixed period.

If there is no setback in the surgeries performed with the open technique, smoothing is seen in the middle of 7-10 days on average. During the first two days after the operation, severe edema, swelling and bruises may be seen. However, these complaints generally decrease significantly at the end of 1 week. While it takes 3 months to completely get rid of swelling and edema, it takes up to 1 year for a complete smoothing.

In the surgeries performed with closed techniques, the smoothing time changes in the middle of 7-10. At the end of the surgery, the silicone splints attached to the inside of the nose and the protective band attached to the outside are removed after 3-4 days. Swelling and bruises that occur after the surgery show smoothness in a short time.
