TIPS FOR MAKING PRACTICAL TOOTHPASTE AT HOME

Coconut oil: Lauric acid, which is abundant in coconut, shows antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral activity. For this reason, it is effective in cleaning and regulating the flora of the digestive tract, especially the mouth. It also prevents bad breath and whitens teeth.

Bentonite clay: It is a natural brightener that is strong in terms of minerals and is not very abrasive. It is alkaline at the same time, so it helps reduce acidity in the mouth.

Materials;4 tablespoons of cold pressed organic coconut oil, 4 tablespoons of bentonite clay, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 2 tablespoons of xylitol, 2 capsules of FOS probiotics (Fructooligosaccharides), 2 capsules of spore-based probiotics, 1/2 teaspoon of cocoa powder, 1/2 teaspoon of ginger powder, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of vitamin E oil, 4 tablespoons of distilled or filtered water will suffice.

Construction step; In a small saucepan, heat the coconut oil over low heat for about 1-2 minutes until it melts. Adding bentonite clay, baking soda, xylitol, FOS, probiotics, cocoa, ginger and cinnamon to a food processor; On the high speed setting, mix for 10-15 seconds until all the powders are evenly mixed.

Wait a few minutes before opening to allow dust to settle. Then pour a tablespoon of coconut oil. Stir again for 10-15 seconds, the mixture will be crumbly. Take the small end of a wooden spoon (a stick or small spatula will also work) and make sure all the powder is combined with the oil. Add vitamin E and remaining coconut oil and blend for another 10-15 seconds. At this point, the mixture will be runny. Run the wooden spoon tip along the edge of the blender again to make sure all the powder is included. Blend again if necessary to create a smooth and creamy texture. With the mixer running, slowly add the water and mix for at least 30 seconds until adequately mixed. Transfer to non-toxic, refillable squeeze tube. The preparation time takes approximately 5 minutes and there is a 10-minute cooking time. Considering a family of 4, 5-7 days will be enough. Make sure to use it twice a day.

STORAGE TIPS FOR HEALTHY PRODUCTION

Store half of the toothpaste at room temperature and half in the refrigerator for later use for freshness. Consume within 7-10 days. For optimal oral hygiene, spray one teaspoon on your toothbrush twice a day.
